We are committed to strengthening community prosperity and promoting responsible, protective development in the areas where we operate. In line with this commitment, we formalised a partnership supporting community farms in the Kamoa–Tshimbunji area, positioning ourselves as an active pillar in local economic empowerment. Through this initiative, we support 9.6 hectares of farmland currently under development by providing seeds, fertiliser, and agricultural inputs, enabling local farmers to expand vegetable production using cleared land with drip irrigation systems in place.

Beyond supporting cultivation, we close the value chain by purchasing the harvested vegetables for use in our catering operations, creating a sustainable income stream for the community. This model directly improves household livelihoods by enhancing farmers’ financial capacity to meet personal and family needs. On 11 February 2025, seeds were donated to the Kamoa Sustainability Department for distribution to Tshimbunji farmers, and by 20 May 2025, the Yasam team began procuring produce grown from that support. Through this cycle of empowerment and reinvestment, we ensure that our operations contribute meaningfully to long term community development.
