Position Overview

We are seeking two proactive and results-driven Business Development and Marketing Officers to support the company’s growth across the Democratic Republic of Congo. The successful candidates will drive new business acquisition, strengthen client relationships, and support marketing initiatives that position Yasam Investments as a trusted integrated services provider in sectors such as mining, industrial operations, healthcare, and large-scale facilities.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Development

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across mining, industrial, healthcare, and infrastructure sectors.
  • Develop and manage a strong pipeline of prospective clients and projects.
  • Conduct market intelligence and competitor analysis to identify emerging opportunities.
  • Support the preparation and submission of competitive tenders and proposals.
  • Participate in client presentations, negotiations, and contract discussions.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers.

2. Marketing and Brand Positioning

  • Support the execution of marketing strategies that strengthen Yasam’s brand visibility in the DRC.
  • Assist in promoting Yasam’s services through digital platforms, events, and industry engagements.
  • Coordinate marketing materials such as company profiles, presentations, and promotional content.
  • Support social media and digital communication initiatives that promote Yasam’s services and projects.
  • Represent the company at exhibitions, networking events, and industry forums.

3. Client Relationship Management

  • Maintain strong relationships with existing clients to identify opportunities for additional services.
  • Conduct regular client visits and engagement activities to strengthen partnerships.
  • Gather client feedback and support continuous improvement of service delivery.

4. Strategic Partnerships

  • Identify and build partnerships with local suppliers, contractors, and industry stakeholders.
  • Strengthen Yasam’s presence in key mining and industrial regions across the DRC.

5. Reporting and Performance Tracking

  • Maintain accurate records of leads, opportunities, and business development activities.
  • Prepare regular reports on pipeline development, market intelligence, and sales performance.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, International Business, Economics, or a related field.
  • A Master’s degree will be an advantage.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in business development, marketing, or commercial roles.
  • Experience within mining, industrial services, facilities management, or related sectors is an advantage.

  • Fluency in both English and French is mandatory.
  • Strong negotiation, networking, and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong marketing and brand awareness capabilities.
  • Ability to identify and convert business opportunities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
